We did about ten "takes" of this. Stephen is very aware of the camera and doesn't really act naturally when he knows it's recording. Eventually, he just wanted to have some fun and didn't care about the camera. This is our new guest room, by the way. A corner in the basement which is separated from the rest of the room by that large shelf. It's nice and cozy. I think we did a good job.

Not two minutes after I made that last post, my wife's water broke. Henry Jackson Valentine was delivered via c-section last night (March 07, 2011) at 11:41pm. Mother and baby are well. I have not had a chance to go home and process the pictures off my camera, but I was able to take this video and upload it from my iPod touch. I'm also posting this from my iPod, so I can't even test this video. I hope it works.
Okay, it's not much of a "video," but it shows that I have a dedicated fan out there. Pretty cool. At least, I assume he/she is a fan if they made this.
The demo they used as an example features a track from md/kschzt (1, 2, 3, 4). He was a huge influence on my music and I even own an "appelsap" t-shirt that I still wear. The person being interviewed is one of my favorite artists fthr (1, 2, 3). He was the first person I knew of that did impressive things with photoshop.
Setting up my RSS reader has made me follow a lot more people on twitter. That, in turn, has made me privy to a bunch of useless information. Kind of fun, kind of a waste?
He wants to play. He understands that he can fall on the pillow without hurting himself, but he isn't coordinated enough to do it correctly. He gets a little better every day though.
Stephen's birthday party at his Nana and Grandpa's. I cut it down to six and a half minutes, and it includes some present opening, singing happy birthday, and eating of cake.
99% of the video was shot by my brother Billy. May 22, 2010
Steve came over last night. Felt like I hadn't seen him in forever. We hung around and drank beer, he came to dinner with my family, and we rehearsed this song 5-6 times. The audio quality is not bad for a video camera.
