Two minutes worth of videos from Henry's 9th week. He's starting to come alive and his eyes are turning brighter and lighter.

Stephen and I were walking the dogs a couple hours ago and I heard an ice cream truck blaring some Christmas music... in late April. Sure enough, we ended up walking right past it. Here you can hear "Oh Christmas Tree" and the first few notes of "Joy to the World." How odd. Only in Manassas.

We went bowling with all of Jaime's family today, including Stephen's cousin Finn. As you can see, Stephen had a good time. I had to figure out how to make a playlist on YouTube to string these three videos back-to-back-to-back. Easier than combining them in video editing software. In the first video, he says BOOM when the ball hits the pins. In the second video, he claps for himself when the ball hits the pins.

This is what we are facing with Henry. He sleeps all day and it's impossible to wake him. This video was taken after he slept from 5:30-8:00pm last night. I just took this because I'm tired of people saying "Well, if you want him to sleep at night, then you have to wake him up during the day!"

We did about ten "takes" of this. Stephen is very aware of the camera and doesn't really act naturally when he knows it's recording. Eventually, he just wanted to have some fun and didn't care about the camera. This is our new guest room, by the way. A corner in the basement which is separated from the rest of the room by that large shelf. It's nice and cozy. I think we did a good job.

A couple videos from earlier today...

Not two minutes after I made that last post, my wife's water broke. Henry Jackson Valentine was delivered via c-section last night (March 07, 2011) at 11:41pm. Mother and baby are well. I have not had a chance to go home and process the pictures off my camera, but I was able to take this video and upload it from my iPod touch. I'm also posting this from my iPod, so I can't even test this video. I hope it works.
