Dentist, Waking up Early, Steinway Special, Sesame Street
Oh the joys of getting up at 4:30. There is a PBS special on right now about Steinway & Sons. I’m jealous of anyone who gets to use a wood chisel every day at work.
Stephen woke up at 4:00. I stuck a pacifier in his mouth and he was quiet until 4:30. When he cried at 4:30, I felt so rested and ready to rise. It was nice. I like these types of days, even though I have a dental checkup this evening.
I watched Sesame Street yesterday for the first time in nearly 25 years. It has changed in so many ways, but has remained unchanged in many other ways. Cookie monster is still a big fatty, but Elmo checks his email. It’s amazing to me that Stephen doesn’t even know where his own nose is, but he knows enough to like Dr. Seuss and Sesame Street.
No wonder Steinways are such nice pianos. This special really drives it home. “Hand crafted” are rare and powerful words these days.
All right, well I hope everyone’s morning is going as well as mine.
